Duel Dice in short

What it is
You choose how likely you are to win, from about 1% up to 98%, and the game pays out the exact opposite of those odds. A 25% chance pays 4×, a 10% chance pays 10×.
What it costs you
Nothing. The payout is the exact inverse of your odds, so over time you get back what you put in.
Is it fair?
Yes, and it is the easiest game to check. Set the win chance to 49.50% — if the payout says 2.0202×, nothing is being taken.
Who it suits
Anyone who wants to control their own risk. High win chance for slow, steady play; low win chance for big swings.

How to play

How do you play Duel Dice?

01

Drag the slider to set your win chance — the multiplier updates live as the inverse.

02

Choose roll-over or roll-under. The two are symmetric; neither is better.

03

Set your wager and roll. The result is a number between 0.00 and 100.00.

04

Check any roll afterwards from the bet history — everything needed to prove it is there.

What actually matters

No setting is luckier than another

A 98% chance and a 2% chance are worth exactly the same to you in the long run — one just wins small and often, the other rarely and big. The slider changes how bumpy the ride is, not how it ends. Pick the one you can sit through.

Martingale still fails — just more slowly

Doubling up after every loss does not start working just because the game is fair. All it does is hide a lot of small wins in front of one enormous loss — and that loss arrives when you run into the table limit or the bottom of your balance.

Dice is the quickest thing to check

The payout is one division, so if anything ever changes about Duel’s pricing, this is where you’d spot it first. Set 49.5% and look at the multiplier — that’s the whole test.

Quick check. Set the slider to 49.50% and read the multiplier. 2.0202× is a zero edge. 2.0182× is the 0.1% edge that appears explicitly in Duel’s Crash formula. 2.0000× is a standard 1% edge.

Fair odds are not a winning system. Taking the casino’s advantage away does not hand you one. The best any of these games does is break even over time, and a bad night can still take everything you brought. Decide what you are willing to lose before you open the game, not halfway through it.

What it pays

What you get paid on Duel Dice

The numbers below are what actually lands in your balance, using a $10 bet as the example.

Whatever your chance of winning, the payout is the mirror image of it. Win one time in four and you get four times your bet. Win one time in a hundred and you get a hundred times.

Nothing is shaved off along the way, which is why a 25% chance pays a clean 4× and not 3.96×.

FAQ

Duel Dice questions

Is Duel Dice really 0% house edge?

Duel’s provably-fair article for Dice documents the result derivation but does not publish an RTP or house edge figure. The check is empirical: set 49.50% win chance and read the multiplier. 2.0202× means the payout is the exact inverse of the probability and the edge is zero.

Why does the result go to 100.00 and not 99.99?

Because there are 10,001 possible results rather than 10,000 — every hundredth from 0.00 all the way up to 100.00 inclusive. It is a small detail, and it does not change your odds.

The technical bit: how a Dice result is generated Only if you want it — nothing else on this page depends on it
Scheme Seed pair
HMAC message clientSeed:nonce
Rejection threshold 4,294,959,453
  1. HMAC-SHA256 with the unhashed server seed as the key and "clientSeed:nonce" as the message.
  2. Take the first 4 bytes (8 hex characters) of the digest and convert hexadecimal → decimal.
  3. Reject and resample if the value is 4,294,959,453 or higher — this removes modulo bias.
  4. result = decimal % 10001 ÷ 100, giving a number from 0.00 to 100.00.

That is ⌊2³² ÷ 10001⌋ × 10001 exactly. Values above it would make the low outcomes marginally more likely, so they are discarded rather than folded in.

Your own client seed is mixed into every result, so once Duel reveals the server seed you can recalculate any round offline.
