Duel Castle Roulette in short

What it is
A 48-pocket wheel. You back a single pocket, a pair, a group of three, six, twelve or half the wheel, and get paid accordingly.
What it costs you
Nothing at all. A single pocket pays 48× out of 48 pockets, and every other bet works out the same way.
Is it fair?
Yes — and this is the one game where you can prove it in your head. Payout × pockets covered = 48, every time.
Who it suits
Anyone who likes roulette but resents the green zero. This is the same game with the casino’s advantage removed.

What actually matters

Every bet on the table is worth the same

Backing a single pocket and backing half the wheel come to the same thing over time. One pays 48× and almost never lands; the other pays 2× and lands half the time. Pick whichever you enjoy more — neither is the smarter bet.

This is the cleanest zero-edge bet on the site

On most games you have to trust the number on screen. Here you can check it yourself with two figures anyone can see: there are 48 pockets, and one pocket pays 48×. That is the whole proof.

Betting systems still do nothing

Martingale, Fibonacci and the rest just shuffle your wins and losses into a different order. They do not make a fair game better or a bad game worse. Betting the same amount every spin gets you to the same place with fewer heart attacks.

Quick check. Multiply any band’s payout by the pockets it covers. If the answer is 48 — the pocket count — the edge on that bet is exactly zero. All six bands pass.

Fair odds are not a winning system. Taking the casino’s advantage away does not hand you one. The best any of these games does is break even over time, and a bad night can still take everything you brought. Decide what you are willing to lose before you open the game, not halfway through it.

What it pays

What you get paid on Duel Castle Roulette

The numbers below are what actually lands in your balance, using a $10 bet as the example.

The wheel has 48 pockets. Back one pocket and it pays 48×. Back two and it pays 24×. Back half the wheel and it pays 2×. Every bet on the table is priced the same way.

That is what makes it exactly fair. A real roulette wheel has 37 pockets but only pays 36× on a single number, and that one missing pocket is the casino’s entire profit.

FAQ

Duel Castle Roulette questions

How can roulette have no house edge?

By paying true odds against the pocket count. Standard roulette has 37 or 38 pockets but pays a single number 36×, and that gap is the margin. Castle Roulette has 48 pockets and pays a single pocket 48×, so there is no gap.

Why 48 pockets instead of 37?

48 divides cleanly into 1, 2, 3, 6, 12 and 24, which is what lets every payout band be an exact whole-number multiple. A 37-pocket wheel cannot produce a clean fair paytable, which is part of why real roulette has an edge at all.

The technical bit: how a Castle Roulette result is generated Only if you want it — nothing else on this page depends on it
Scheme drand beacon
HMAC message server seed + drand seed + nonce (always 0)
Rejection threshold None documented
  1. HMAC mixes the unhashed server seed, the drand beacon value and a nonce of 0.
  2. Take the first 8 hex characters of the result and convert hexadecimal → decimal.
  3. winning pocket = decimal % 48, giving a pocket from 0 to 47.
  4. The pocket maps to a payout band: the fewer pockets a band covers, the larger it pays.

No rejection threshold is documented. 2³² is not an exact multiple of 48, so a vanishingly small modulo bias exists in principle — on the order of one part in ninety million.

Uses a public randomness beacon that nobody controls. Duel locks in which beacon round it will use before that randomness exists, so neither side can know the result in advance.
