Crash quietly trims a tenth of a percent off every result. That’s 10¢ on every $100 you stake — a tenth of what most crypto casinos charge on the same game, but not nothing. It’s the only Original that takes a cut at all.

Back one pocket out of 48 and it pays 48×. Back two and it pays 24×. Every bet on the wheel is priced the same way, so nothing is taken. A real roulette wheel has 37 pockets but pays only 36× — that missing pocket is the casino’s profit.

A fresh deck, every card
Every card comes from a fresh full deck, so the same card can turn up twice in one hand and the deck never runs down. There’s nothing to keep track of, so counting can’t work. Learning basic strategy still matters enormously.
How to play it →Duel doesn’t publish RTP numbers for its Originals. It publishes how each result is generated, which is arguably more useful — you can check a round rather than trust a percentage. But it does mean any exact RTP you see quoted for a Duel game came from somewhere else. 7 of the 12 games have something worth reading before you play them.
The basics
House edge is the share of everything you wager that the operator expects to keep. It is not a fee you pay once — it applies to every bet, including the ones you win and re-stake.
A 1% edge does not mean you lose 1% of your deposit. It means you lose 1% of everything you ever wager. Re-stake a bankroll twenty times and the expected cost is twenty times larger.
At 0% your expected result is exactly your stake back. Variance is untouched: you can still lose a full bankroll in an afternoon, and plenty of people do.
Rakeback on a 4% edge game is a partial refund on a guaranteed loss. On a 0% edge game it is the only thing with an expected value — and it is positive.

Provably fair
Every Duel Original is provably fair, which means you can take any round you played and recalculate it. Paste in your seeds below and this does it in your browser — nothing gets sent anywhere.
Before you bet, the server generates a secret seed and shows you its SHA-256 hash. The hash pins the seed down without revealing it — it cannot be changed afterwards without the hash changing too.
Your client seed is yours to set. Because the result depends on both seeds, the house cannot pick an outcome it prefers without knowing a value it does not control.
Every round increments a counter, so the same seed pair produces a fresh, deterministic result each time — and the same inputs always reproduce the same round.
Rotate your seed and the server reveals the old one. Hash it: if it matches the commitment you were shown, every round it produced was decided before you placed the bet.

Almost. Dice, Mines, Plinko, Keno and Castle Roulette take nothing — Castle Roulette’s paytable works out to exactly your stake on every bet. Crash is the exception: its formula multiplies the result by 0.999, so it keeps 0.1%. Blackjack and Video Poker depend on how well you play them, and three of the newer games haven’t had their maths published yet.

Yes. Before you bet, Duel shows you a hash of its server seed — a promise it can’t change afterwards. You set your own client seed, and the two combine to produce every result. Rotate your seed and the old one is revealed, so you can recalculate every round you played. There’s a verifier on this site that does the maths for you.
No. Every card is dealt fresh from a full 52, so the deck never runs down and there’s nothing to keep track of. Video Poker is different — that one shuffles a real deck, so your discards genuinely change what you can draw.
Expected value is break-even before promotions, so any long-run profit has to come from what sits on top — rakeback, rain, reloads and bonuses. A break-even base game is what makes those promotions worth anything; on a 4% edge game they are usually just a partial rebate on a guaranteed loss.
